HISTORICAL USES:
The Aboriginal, native to Australia, traditionally used tea tree oil as an antiseptic as well as a herbal medicine. Found in and native to Queensland and New South Wales in Australia. The name ‘Tea Tree’ was coined by the British explorer Captain James Cook when he noticed the indigenous people using the leaves to make a tea that smelled like nutmeg. Captain Cook saw this traditional practice and coined the name “Tea Tree”. In addition to making tea, the aborigines used to crush the leaves and extract the oil which was then inhaled to treat colds and coughs. They also used it topically for healing the skin.
WELLNESS USES:
Tea tree oil is used externally and topically. Tea Tree is commonly used to treat acne, fungal infections, lice, insect bites and athlete's foot. It can also be used as a chemical-free mouthwash, an antiseptic for cuts and scrapes or natural hand sanitizer. Tea Tree can also be used as an insect repellant, rub over your legs and arms when outdoors during summer to deter bugs and insects.
EMOTIONAL USES:
It is said that tea tree oil can be used for cleansing, protection and may help to clear energy blockages and fortify your energy fields. Tea Tree has been known to support many sufferers of mood swings, panic attacks, manic episodes, as well as feelings of anxiety and depression. Its aroma is relaxing and renewing for many psychiatric conditions.

Antidepressant
When dark feelings of hopelessness and depression creep in, combine Tea Tree, Elevation, Magnolia, Rose and Frankincense and rub over the forehead, back of neck, and top of head 3x daily. Can also be used in a diffuser.

BODY/WELLNESS
Cleansing Facial Toner
2 drops Tea Tree, 1 drop Lemon, 2 drops Lavender, 2 drops Frankincense, 30ml Witch Hazel, 30ml apple cider vinegar, 15ml Aloe Vera juice, 100ml Fine misting spray bottle. Combine all ingredients in a glass fine misting spray bottle. Shake well to blend all ingredients. Apply using a cotton ball, or mist directly onto face, avoiding eyes then allow to dry. Store in a refrigerator or cold place and use within a month.
Respiratory Support
For all things respiratory, to encourage lung, sinus and respiratory tract health. Add 3 drops Wild Orange, 3 drops Tea Tree, 2 drops Clear Blend and 1 drop Eucalyptus to an aroma inhaler and use a s needed throughout the day.
Skin cleansing
Apply Tea Trea directly over pimples or spots or over entire face after showering to promote clear skin, it is also soothing and cooling for sore cystic spots. Be sure to dilute with a carrier oil for sensitive skin.
Hand Sanitiser
In a 100ml spray bottle, add 3 drops of Lavender, 3 drops Tea Tree, 3 drops Cleansing Blend, ½ cup Witch Hazel, ½ cup Aloe Vera, top with water and lightly spray hands as needed. This will make 2 full 100ml spray bottles, with a little leftover to fill up your smaller spray bottles too!
Cuts and Scrapes
Dilute 1-2 drops of Tea Tree, Lavender, Helichrysum, Myrrh and Cedarwood with a carrier oil and apply to the affected area a couple times daily.
